Vardhaman College of Engineering (VCE), a distinguished autonomous institution affiliated with JNTU, Hyderabad, is situated in the serene environs of Shamshabad, Hyderabad. Located within the tranquil Kacharam Village in the Ranga Reddy district, the campus is strategically positioned away from the urban clamor, offering an ideal setting for academic pursuits amidst nature’s bounty. The college offers a comprehensive range of academic programs, including an array of undergraduate B.Tech programs in disciplines such as Civil Engineering (CE), Computer Science and Engineering (CSE), CSE with specializations in Artificial Intelligence & Machine Learning (AI&ML) and Data Science (DS), AI&ML, AI&DS, Information Technology (IT), Electronics and Communication Engineering (ECE), Electrical and Electronics Engineering (EEE), and Mechanical Engineering (ME). Furthermore, six of its undergraduate engineering programs – B.Tech in ECE, EEE, CSE, ME, CE, and IT—have been accredited by the National Board of Accreditation (NBA), New Delhi, under the prestigious Tier-1 category. The department of Civil Engineering at Vardhaman College of Engineering was established in the year 2009. The department offers under-graduate programme (B.Tech.) in Civil Engineering and post-graduate programme (M.Tech.) in Structural Engineering. The UG course was first accredited by N.B.A. for three years in 2021, and re-accredited by N.B.A. for a period of three more years in 2024. The department boasts of a dynamic faculty team mostly doctorates from prestigious institutes IITs and NITs. The department has well equipped laboratories and has built excellent experimental and computational facilities in the field of Structural Engineering, Geotechnical Engineering, Transportation Engineering, and Water and Environmental Engineering. The vision of the department is “to become center of excellence in civil engineering education, research and consultancy to support community directly or indirectly.” The department also offers consultancy services to government and private organizations.

The Department of Chemistry occupies a place of pride in Vardhaman College of Engineering (Autonomous) as it is the backbone for Engineering & Technology curriculum. The Department of Chemistry is a supporting department to all undergraduate programmes. The department has well-equipped laboratories which assist students and teachers to carry out various project works in different areas of chemistry. The faculty encourages and motivates the students to put in their best efforts in their respective fields, and guides them all in other activities like seminars, projects, expo and workshops. It marches ahead with the vision of our college by setting its own goals in the areas of Teaching-Learning Process and it is the liveliest place on the campus providing a safe, comfortable and friendly environment that enables learning and advancement of knowledge. The Department of Chemistry gives utmost importance to the student who is the main stake-holder and it has been established with a view to achieving concentrated focus for the smooth migration of students having different backgrounds and varied abilities from intermediate level to the professional studies by inculcating practice - oriented training.
